Saving Africa’s lions
3rd June 2009
AOTE has provided funding to the African Lion and Environmental Research Trust (ALERT) in Zimababwe to help save 74 lions in a conservation breeding program. The lions were at risk due to political instability hitting tourism, which had been the primary driver for funding of the project.
