“The International Summit is to be welcomed and Russian Prime Minister, Vladimir Putin, deserves recognition not only for his leadership on tiger conservation but also for his efforts in preserving Russia’s population of Amur tigers. However, no amount of money will save the tiger unless it is used properly. In the past 10 years, over $41m has been donated to tiger conservation and yet, in the same period, worldwide tiger populations have halved. Politicians in those countries where tigers exist have to follow Putin’s example and stop hiding behind their rhetoric. The time for talking is over. The time for action is now.”
Our work saves wildlife by helping animals and people to co-exist. With our knowledge and experience, we are in a unique position to make a lasting difference. But we can't do it alone. Help us and together we can - and will - make a difference.
